ADHD Cleaning Schedule
Most cleaning schedules fail ADHD households for one reason: they are written for people who can do the same thing every Tuesday forever. This one is built differently — one anchor task a day, catch-up built into the week, and an honest mode for the weeks that fall apart.

The weekly rhythm
Monday — kitchen reset. The week's first surface. Counters, sink, whatever the weekend left behind. 10–15 minutes.
Tuesday — bathroom. Sink, toilet, fresh towel. The room is small; the win is big. 10 minutes.
Wednesday — floor day. One vacuum or sweep pass over the main walkway, not the whole house. 10 minutes.
Thursday — reset anything. Pick whatever is currently loudest in your head. The planner on the homepage is built for exactly this day.
Friday — catch-up or free. Whatever got skipped earlier in the week gets its turn here. If nothing was skipped, you are free — genuinely free, not guilt-with-extra-steps.
Weekend — one anchor, one treat. One anchor task (laundry start counts) and one visible-win task you actually enjoy: a desk, a shelf, a plant corner. Two items, done.
The rules that keep it alive
Rule one: the bare-minimum pass always counts. A Tuesday where you only swished the toilet is a completed Tuesday. The schedule's enemy is not slowness, it is the all-or-nothing crash that turns one missed day into a lost month.
Rule two: catch-up is built in, so skipping is planned. Friday exists because real weeks have Tuesday-shaped holes in them. A schedule that needs perfection is a schedule that expires in week two.
Rule three: timers decide the edges. Start the timer, do the room, stop when it rings — even mid-task, especially mid-task. Stopping while you still have fuel is what makes Thursday's version of you willing to start.
Put the schedule where the schedule lives: fridge, whiteboard, or the printable checklist with days penciled in. A schedule only in your head is a wish.
What if I miss several days?
Run one bare-minimum reset on the messiest room and call the schedule restarted. There is no streak to protect — the week still has a Friday in it.
Can I change the days?
Yes, the names are placeholders. The structure that matters is: one anchor a day, one catch-up slot, one visible-win slot per week.
Should I clean the same room every week?
High-traffic rooms (kitchen, bathroom) reward rhythm. Everything else can rotate — that is what Thursday's free-choice slot is for.
